14th Round of the Heybeliada Talks

The 14th round of the Heybeliada Talks took place on November 23, 2013 in Nicosia’s Buffer Zone with the participation of approximately 15 representatives of the Greek Cypriot and the Turkish Cypriot communities, Greece, and Turkey.

The roundtable meeting provided the participants with an unparalleled opportunity to engage in a frank discussion about challenges to, and prospects of, a feasible settlement in Cyprus in the run-up to the informal direct meeting of the leaders of the Greek Cypriot and the Turkish Cypriot communities scheduled for November 25, 2013.
GPoT Center has been regularly bringing together stakeholders from both sides of Cyprus, Greece, and Turkey under the banner of the “Heybeliada Talks” since 2008. The meetings have been organized with the aim to support informed debate about contested issues in parallel with the official UN Cyprus talks.

GPoT Center would like to thank the Open Society Foundation – Turkey for sponsoring the 14th round of the Heybeliada Talks.
