Dr. Akgün at the Wilton Park Conference
The Director of GPoT Center Dr. Mensur Akgün participated in a three day Wilton Park conference entitled "Global conflict-future trends and challenges: towards 2030".
The purpose of the meeting was to assist senior policy-makers in understanding international perspectives on global conflict and to consider future trends and challenges over the next 20 years. The international participants discussed conflict prevention, risk assessment, mitigation and the changing nature of conflict, possibilities for building stable states in the future, and for preventing the re-occurrence of conflict.
