Forced Migrants, Refugees, and the International State System

In the framework of the SSHRC Partnership Development Grant on Forced Migration Mensur Akgün, Müge Dalkıran, and Omar Sheira, participated in the annual conference entitled "Forced Migrants, Refugees, and the International State System" in Toronto, Canada.

The conference was attended by experts from seven academic institutions in Canada, the United States, Western Europe, Turkey, and Asia. Among the main areas of focused were Early Warning Systems, human trafficking, local inclusion, refugee self-reliance and private-sector solutions, education and refugees, burden-sharing, and resettlement.
