United Nations Global Trends Project

GPoT Center prepares a new project which aims to present a report on the UN global trends concerning the world issues of the day.

In this project, IKU-Global Political Trends Center (GPoT) aims to present a report that includes quantitative and qualitative analysis that will be prepared impartially through the decisions of the United Nations member countries that govern the world politics and the speeches of the presidents in the general assembly.

GPoT Project Assistants and interns from Istanbul Kültür University International Relations students will support our project in this project where nearly 200 speeches will be analyzed and examined within the framework of predetermined categories. The objective of the project is to identify the issues that shape the agenda in the international arena and the content of state policies. In addition, the statistical distribution of the speakers on political, economic, social and environmental policies will be determined over the minutes. The report, which will be issued at the end of the study, is intended to be an up-to-date and detailed analysis for researchers, policy makers and at the same time open to comparison with future periods.

Birleşmiş Milletler Küresel Eğilimler Projesi

İKÜ-Küresel Siyasal Eğilimler Birimi (GPoT) bu projesinde, Birleşmiş Milletler üyesi ülkelerin dünya siyasetine yön veren kararları ve genel kurulunda ülke başkanlarının yaptıkları konuşmalar üzerinden tarafsız bir şekilde hazırlayacağı nicel ve nitel analizi içeren bir rapor sunmayı amaçlamaktadır.

200’e yakın konuşmanın önceden belirlenen kategoriler çerçevesinde analiz edilip inceleneceği bu projede GPoT Proje Asistanları ile birlikte İstanbul Kültür Üniversitesi Uluslararası İlişkiler öğrencilerinden stajyerlerimiz de projemize destek verecektir. Projede hedef, uluslararası arenada gündeme yön veren konuların ve devlet politikalarının içeriğinin tespit edilmesidir. Ayrıca konuşmacıların ağırlık verdikleri siyasi, ekonomik, sosyal ve çevre politikalarına yönelik konuşmaların dakikaları üzerinden istatiksel dağılımları belirlenecektir. Çalışmanın sonunda çıkarılacak olan raporun araştırmacılar, siyaset yapıcılar için güncel ve ayrıntılı, aynı zamanda da gelecek dönemlerle karşılaştırmaya açık bir analiz örneği olması hedeflenmektedir.
