What Has Changed in Turkey Between the 2002 and 2012 EU Presidency Terms of Denmark?
GPoT Center, together with the Ministry of EU Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and European Movement Denmark, organized a conference with the participation of the Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator of Turkey, Egemen Bağış, and the Minister of European Affairs of Denmark, Nicolai Wammen.
The conference, which was held at Istanbul Kültür University on the 31st of May, was entitled “What Has Changed in Turkey Between the 2002 and 2012 EU Presidency Terms of Denmark?" It focused on Turkey-Denmark bilateral relations, prospects for Turkey in the EU enlargement process, and reflections on the current Danish presidency of the Council of the EU, including the “positive agenda” in Turkey’s EU accession process launched by the EU Commission earlier this month.
