Resources: Trends and Future Challenges for States and Regions

GPoT Center's Director Mensur Akgün and Deputy Director Sylvia Tiryaki attended the Wilton Park conference "Resources: trends and future challenges for states and regions - towards 2030" in London, United Kingdom.

The high-level meeting, which was held between the 14th and the 16th of January, 2013, aimed at briefing international perspectives on the implication and impact of resource security until 2030, including topics of future patterns in resource insecurity, resource-driven challenges to security, institutional development and prosperity, as well as overarching themes of demography, governance, technological innovation and communication. During the conference, Dr. Tiryaki participated as a breakout group facilitator.
