Study visit to Georgia

GPoT Center's project officer Duygu Alpan visited Georgia as a participant in the one-week project entitled "Regional Cooperation for Peace and Stability" organized by the Caucasian House in Tibilisi, Georgia. The project hosted 20 participants from the South Caucasus region, namely Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey.

The project aimed to encourage regional cooperation in the South Caucasus by supporting second track diplomacy. During the first part of the program, which was held in Tibilisi, the participants came together with representatives of the Georgia government, NGO activists, independent experts, and analysts. In the second part of the program, the participants made a study visit to Akhaltsikhe and presented their respective visions on prospective regional cooperation. Duygu Alpan presented the past and present of the Turkish-Armenian relations.
