Journalism Exchange

GPoT Center hosted five journalists from Armenia for a one-month fellowship in Istanbul from April 18th to May 15th, 2011.

GPoT arranged a series of meetings with leading academics, journalists, and civil society figures in Turkey, including Mr. Yavuz Baydar, ombudsman of Sabah newspaper; Prof. Dr. Fuat Keyman, Director of the Istanbul Policy Center; and Mr. Ferhat Boratav, Adviser to CNN Türk, among others. A group of Turkish journalists will travel to Armenia later this year as part of this exchange. This journalism exchange is one of the activities of the "Dialogue Building between Armenia and Turkey" project, jointly led by Internews Armenia, GPoT, and the Yerevan Press Club.
