5th GPoT Center – Mitvim Policy Dialogue
The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) hosted Mitvim - The Israel Institute for Regional Foreign Policies and the Global Political Trends Center (GPoT) on Monday, March 23, 2015 for an, off the record roundtable discussion on the current state of Israeli-Turkish relations. This event which took place in Washington, D.C. was the 5th round of the Mitvim-GPoT Center Israel-Turkey policy dialogue, launched in 2012 and held in cooperation with FES.
Session I: The Current State of Affairs in Israel-Turkey Relations
The first session analyzed recent developments and post-election opportunities in Israeli-Turkish relations, taking into account political, regional, and economic perspectives.
Session II: The U.S. Role in Improving Israel-Turkey Relations
The second session assessed if and how the U.S. can help bring Israel and Turkey closer together, drawing policy recommendations for future U.S. involvement.
