From Aspiration to Reality: Nuclear Disarmament After the Non-Proliferation Treaty Review

Dr. Mensur Akgün and Dr. Sylvia Tiryaki participated in an international conference entitled “From Aspiration to Reality: Nuclear Disarmament After the Non-Proliferation Treaty Review”.

The event, sponsored by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and the Middle Powers Initiative was held in Geneva between September 14th and 15th. It took place with the attendance of prominent international experts and was part of the Middle Powers Initiative series, which are intended to reduce nuclear weapons worldwide and build common strategies to strengthen and preserve the Non-Proliferation Treaty. The Geneva visit served also as a starting point for the cooperation of GPoT Center with the Middle Powers Initiative.
