GPoT Center Is Proud To Be in Special Consultative Status With ECOSOC

The United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) adopted the recommendation of the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations to grant special consultative status to GPoT Center at its July 2013 session.

There are currently approximately 3,500 international, national and regional non-governmental organizations which enjoy consultative status with ECOSOC and GPoT Center is proud to be one of them.

Established in 1964, ECOSOC is a founding UN Charter body dealing with issues related to world economy, development, and social and environmental challenges. Historically, ECOSOC was the first venue to provide non-governmental organizations with the possibility to actively take part in formal UN deliberations.
