Turkey and NATO: Renewing Partnership in the Face of New Challenges

GPoT Center, in collaboration with the Center for Strategic Research of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, hosted Amb. Hüseyin Diriöz on the premises of Istanbul Kültür University on September 17th, 2012.

Amb. Diriöz participated in a roundtable discussion as key-note speaker in his capacity as NATO's Assistant Secretary General for Defence Policy and Planning. During his speech, he addressed topics such as: the outcomes of the 2012 NATO Summit and implications for Turkey, the future prospects and recommendations for Turkey–NATO relations, and opportunities for the Turkey-NATO partnership in the coming decade. The event, held under the Chatham House Rule, was attended by journalists from major Turkish media outlets and academics.
