Young Turkey / Young America

On Wednesday, June 8, 2011 a group of 17 Turkish and American young professionals participating in the US State Department funded "Young Turkey / Young America" program visited GPoT Center.

GPoT Director Dr. Mensur Akgün, Deputy Director Dr. Sylvia Tiryaki, and Projects Officer / Researcher Can Yirik briefed the group on Turkish foreign policy, the Cyprus issue, and Israel-Turkey relations. Participants in the program include staffers from the US House of Representatives and the Turkish Grand National Assembly and representative civil society organizations such as the Middle East Institute and TEPAV. The Istanbul Policy Center of Sabancı University and the Atlantic Council of the United States are the joint organizers of the Young Turkey / Young America program.
