Our Head of the Department of Nursing Prof. Dr. Asiye Gül and Assist. Prof.  Mukaddes Turan Miral and Res. Assist. Cennet Kara Özçalık, visited the Darülaceze Presidency. Our faculty members from the Department of Nursing, who had a meeting with the Head of the Derülaceze, Master Architect Hamza Cebeci, signed a cooperation protocol with the Darülaceze on applied courses/internships. Under the cooperation, our students were given the opportunity to undergo their internship for the "Public Health Nursing" course in the Fall Semester of 2022-2023.

The project carried out by Prof. Dr. Emel Birer from IKU Department of Architecture titled "A Mobile Application Producing Alternative Tourism Routes Based on Artificial Intelligence Routing Algorithms: The Example of Amasya", which appealed to the "TÜBİTAK ARDEB 3005 Innovative Solutions Research Projects Support Program in Social and Human Sciences", was entitled to receive monetary support.

IKU Technology Transfer Office (TTO) Technology Transfer and University-Industry Collaboration Specialist Yasin Şahin visited the İzmir factory of POLİBAK, one of the Bakioğlu Holding subsidiaries which is one of the leading plastic film producers of Turkey. At the meeting held on Friday, August 26, where Şahin sat down with Polibak Senior R&D and Quality Manager Süleyman Sözden, and Burçin Karadeniz and Zeliha Çınar from the Customer Technical Support unit, possible collaborations in various fields such as national and international projects, technical consultancy, and know-how sharing were discussed. In addition, a discussion was had on potential issues relevant to R&D and technology in the polymer and packaging industry.

The "Budget and Planning Management Certificate Program" organized by Istanbul Kültür University Continuing Education Application and Research Center (IKUSEM) will start on September 24, 2022. The training, in which the participants will be informed about the preparation and application stages of inter-unit plan-budget-cash flow activities in construction, project, and real estate development companies, will be held on Saturdays and Sundays for 10 weeks.

IKU Technology Transfer Office (TTO) Technology Transfer and University-Industry Collaboration Specialist Yasin Şahin paid a visit to the Izmir office of Gülsa Medical Devices and Material Industry Trade Inc., which is a leader in Turkey’s oral-dental health device and material sector with its endeavors to reduce foreign dependency and to create a global brand under its R&D center. At the meeting held on Wednesday, 31 August, in which Şahin sat down with Studental Project Manager Mert Oğuz and Retail Sales and Marketing Manager Ecem Şengel, the cooperation in various domains such as national-international projects, technical consultancy, student-based applications, and potential R&D and technology-oriented collaborations for the production of materials needed in the sector were evaluated.

IKU Technology Transfer Office (TTO) Technology Transfer and University-Industry Collaboration Specialist Yasin Şahin, met with Managing Partner Ayşe Begüm Tunç and her advisors from Tunç Tesisat Mühendislik ve Mimarlık Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş., which has been operating in the fields of heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, process installations, natural gas, project and contracting with various innovative solutions for 46 years, on Monday, 29 August in İzmir. At the meeting, which was accompanied by company officials from Özen&Law, possible collaborations in various fields such as agriculture and biotechnology in addition to the company's main domains of activity were discussed.

A workshop will be held at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center on Monday, September 5, between 09.00-16.00 for the “Urban Air Traffic Management” project, which is carried out by Istanbul Kültür University and funded by EIT/Horizon.

The workshop in which the role of the national and international partner organizations part of the consortium in the project, their work and their experiences on the urban airspace concept will be covered, will be attended by The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Urban Mobility Director, project implementation officials and project partners from faculty, industry and city representatives.

A seminar will be held to introduce the Design Factory project, established with the support of Istanbul Development Agency (ISTKA), as well as to inform the participants. The event will be held at Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall on Monday, September 5, between 13.00- 15.00.
