In the Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index of 2020, Istanbul Kültür University has succeeded in being in the top 50 list, according to 22 indicators in four dimensions. Dear Academic and Administrative Staff of our University, Dear colleagues, The results of "Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index of the Year 2020" created under the leadership of The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) was announced today (05/11/2020) by Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank. In the GYÜ Index, our Istanbul Kültür University has succeeded in being in the top 50 list in the ranking made according to 22 indicators in four dimensions: "scientific technological research competence", "intellectual property pool", "cooperation and interaction" and "economic contribution and commercialization". Under the leadership of TÜBİTAK, 1 million data sets collected from 185 universities with more than 50 faculty members, along with our university IKU, other 14 foundation universities and 36 state universities were included in the GYÜE 2020 top 50 list that was prepared with a 9-month study with the contribution of 282 institutions including the Ministry of Industry and Technology, Council of Higher Education, Presidency of Defense Industry, Ministry of Treasury and Finance, KOSGEB, TÜRKPATENT, TAGEM, TTGV, TÜBA, Center for European Union Education and Youth Programs and Universities.“INTEGRATION WITH THE ENTREPRENEURIAL INNOVATIVE UNIVERSITY AND SOCIETY GOAL 2: Increasing research performance; to advance in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation.”, is among the four main objectives in the 2018-2022 Strategic Plan of our university. Being in the top 50 in the GYU index should be considered as a very important development in the process of achieving our GYU goal. I congratulate our academicians, students, alumni and all academic and administrative staff who contributed technical and managerial contribution to the process under the headings of 'scientific technological research', 'intellectual property studies', 'cooperation and interaction with the business world' and 'economic contribution and commercialization', and wish success and prosperity in the new process where we will continue our entrepreneurial and innovative approach and efforts in all fields, including education and training activities.
