Our Chairperson of the Board of Trustees Dr. Bahar Akıngüç Günver and our Rector Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe visited the President of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar in his office on Friday, July 5.

A cooperation protocol was signed between Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) and the International Health Tourism Employers' Association (USTIS). Within the scope of the protocol, educational cooperation and providing internship opportunities to relevant IKU students through USTIS will play an important role in providing trained personnel employment to the health tourism sector.

The ceremony was attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe, our Vocational School Director Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özer, our Vocational School Assistant Directors Lecturer Gözde Kuzu Uluçay and Lecturer Kerem Yücesan, our Head of Medical Documentation and Secretarial Program Lecturer Emin Aksan, USTIS President Aslı Tarcan, USTIS Secretary General Nihat Gayıran and Family Hospital General Manager Pınar Kavak.

Prof. Dr. Neslihan Dostoğlu, our Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, organized a dinner at IKU Alumni Lodge for the students who graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the end of the 2023-2024 Academic Year. The dinner, held on Thursday, July 4, was attended by the faculty members from the Department of Architecture and the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, as well as IKUMED Vice Presidents Ali Kaplanoğlu and Yıldırım Özkan.

The Istanbul Kültür University Alumni Lodge will be used as a project area within the scope of "Interior Architecture Project 3-4-5-6-7" and "Interior Design Studio 3-4-5-6-7" courses, which are offered in Turkish and English in the 2023-2024 summer semester in the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design and conducted by Prof. Dr. Rana Kutlu, Assist. Prof. Arzu Erçetin, Assist. Prof. Elif Altın, Lecturer Tuba Taştan and Lecturer Çiğdem Karabağ. In this context, the project coordinators and our students completed their field research by organizing a technical trip to the IKU Alumni Lodge on Thursday, July 11, 2024. We wish success to all our students.

Assist. Prof. Serkan Seyhan, one of our faculty members from the Administrative of Department of Law of the Faculty of Law, will be giving a speech called "Protection of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms as a Requirement of the State of Law during State of Emergency Processes" on Monday, July 15, 2024 at 11.00 via Microsoft Teams, within the scope of the "15 July Democracy and National Unity Day" events.

In cooperation with the Atatürkist Thought Club and ATAMER (Atatürk’s Principles and the History of the Turkish Revolution Research and Application Center), “July 15 Memorial Museum" will be visited on Monday, July 15th within the scope of July 15th Democracy and National Unity Day.
