AK Party Istanbul MP Dr. Sevan Sıvacıoğlu paid a visit to our Rector Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe in her office on Friday, September 6, 2024. During the meeting where potential collaborations were discussed, a commemorative plate was presented to the parliament member. 

"Digital Education Orientation Program", which is one of the General University Orientation Programs of the 2024-2025 Academic Year and where newly registered students are introduced to all digital environments and opportunities that they can use throughout their academic lives at our university throughout the world and are given training on their use, will be held by the Dean of Students Kültür Point on Friday, September 6, 2024. It was broadcast live on Kültür Point YouTube channel between 14.00-16.00. In the program attended by over 500 new students, "SAP ORION Student Applications Training" was given by Tuğba Gürel, Deputy Head of the Department of Corporate Information Management , and "Information Systems and Technologies Department Services" was given by Ahmet Gökhan Uluçay, Deputy Head of the Department of Information Systems and Technologies & Software Development and Innovation Manager. " and "PUMA Application" introduction, and "CATS Usage Training" introduction by Head of Kültür Point Unit Assist. Prof. Neslihan Fatma Er.

Res. Assist. Buğra Mert Alkayalar, one of the faculty members of the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema, has been selected for the 10th edition of the TRT Future Communicators Competition with his short film “Passengers”, which he both wrote and directed, and which is supported by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Alkayalar will compete for awards in the “Short Film” category with “Passengers”.

The film crew includes Emre Arslan (Camera and Lightning Assistant), Ezgi Sağır (Art and Makeup Assistant), and Sim Cangül (Continuity and Timecode), all students from the IKU Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema.

The TRT Future Communicators Competition will take place in Ankara between October 4-8, 2024, and will conclude with an awards ceremony following sectorial events.

"Student Clubs Orientation Days" will be organized by the Student Life, Career and Alumni Advisory Unit (Kültür Point) for our newly registered students. The event will include an Orchestra IKU concert, DJ performances and dance shows, and information about student clubs will be given at the stands to be set up. It will be held in the backyard of the Bakırköy campus Ataköy building between 18-20 September.

IKU Technology Transfer Office (TTO) will organize “Project Cycle Management (PCM) Training” to teach the basic principles and effective techniques of project management. The training, which will be given by IKU TTO Manager Cüneyt Genç, will be held on September 18-19 between 10.00-16.00 at the 1st floor multi-purpose hall in Bakırköy Campus Ataköy building.

Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) 2024-2025 Academic Year will be opened with a ceremony to be held at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center in Bakırköy Campus Ataköy building on Wednesday, September 18 at 10:00 am. The opening speeches of the ceremony, which will begin with a moment of silence and the singing of the Turkish National Anthem, will be delivered by our Rector Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe, our Chairperson of the Board of Trustees Dr. Bahar Akıngüç Günver and Bakırköy Mayor Assoc. Prof. Ayşegül Özdemir Ovalıoğlu.

Istanbul Kültür University 2024-2025 Academic Year General Orientation Program will be held on Wednesday, 18 September 2024, at 13.00 at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center in the Bakırköy campus Ataköy building. The program, which will be held in order to inform our students about our university, their new home throughout their higher education journey, and to seek answers to their questions, will start with the opening speech of our Rector, Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe.

Within the scope of Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) 2024-2025 Academic Year General Orientation Program, “Orientation Program for Students with Special Needs” will be held on Friday, September 20 between 14.00 and 15.30 at the 1st floor multipurpose hall in the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy campus.
