A seminar was held at Ataköy Campus on Thursday, September 15 within the scope of the introducing and informing activities of the “Design Factory” project, which was implemented by İstanbul Kültür University with the support of the Istanbul Development Agency (İSTKA).  

The seminar, starting with our Board of Trustees Advisor Ender Rıza Ekici telling the emergence story of the project, continued with Assist. Prof. Gabriela Oana Olaru, Academic Coordinator of the Design Factory Project, talking about the process, stages, and operation of the project. The seminar then ended with the participants visiting the Design Factory area. Our guests who visited the Design Factory expressed that the purpose of the project served an extremely lofty goal and evoked admiration for its everything, including the architectural structure of the area.

National Taichung University of Education Dean of Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Chen-Huei Liao visited Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Education to develop academic and scientific cooperation and to plan joint studies. During the visit that took place in IKU Basın Ekpres campus, collaboration at undergraduate and graduate levels in the fields of Special Education, Pre-School, Foreign Language Education and Guidance and Psychological Counselling, and the creation of joint research working groups were discussed. In the meeting, it was emphasized that joint scientific activities such as symposiums, congresses and conferences can be held, and the cooperation to be made in this direction is very important in strengthening the cooperation between the two universities in specific and the two countries in general.

IKU Technology Transfer Office (TTO) Technology Transfer and University-Industry Collaboration Specialist Yasin Şahin came together with NTR Managing Partner & Rutgers University Advisory Board Member Dr. Yavuz Selim Sılay, who broadcasts to 900 million people in 42 countries in Africa, and one of Türkiye leading companies in remote sensing and measurement technology, Artmap Informatics, Architecture, Cartography Ind. and Trade Co. Chairperson of the Board & Yıldız Technical University Res. Assist. Dr. Reza Molkaraei. During the meeting held on Friday, September 9, possible cooperation opportunities were evaluated.

The book titled "Patient Psychology for Health Vocational Schools" a chapter of which titled "Chronic Diseases and the Terminal Period in Psychosocial Perspective" was written by IKU Vocational School (MYO) Medical Documentation and Head of the Secretarial Program Lecturer Emin Aksam, has been published. The "Budget and Planning Management Certificate Program" organized by Istanbul Kültür University Continuing Education Application and Research Center (IKUSEM) will start on October 08, 2022. The training, in which the participants will be informed about the preparation and application stages of inter-unit plan-budget-cash flow activities in construction, project, and real estate development companies, will be held on Saturdays and Sundays for 10 weeks.

Istanbul Kültür University Digital Education Orientation Program will be held on Monday, September 19 via the Adobe Connect platform. The program in which our students will be informed on the topics of "SAP ORION Student Applications Training", "Information Systems and Technologies Department Services" and "CATS Usage Training" will be held in two sessions between 10.30-12.00 and 14.00-15.30.
