With the support of Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Architecture, an online event was organized by AssiaX-G100 Design & Lifestyle Community, in order to bring different country representatives and all the young talents on “March 8 International Women’s Day.” The main theme of the event titled “Empowering the Young Woman Talents in Design” was “sustainability, durability and biologic diversity.” The international event which was announced in more than 10 countries around the world, organized as available for everyone. The opening speeches were made by Prof. Dr. Hanife Öztürk Akkartal, Rector of Istanbul Kültür University, Prof. Dr. Neslihan Dostoğlu, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, and Annabella Nassati, Global Head of the AssiaX-G100 Design & Lifestyle Community. Also, the article, prepared by Dr. Bahar Akıngüç Ünver, Chairperson of the Istanbul Kültür University Board of Committees. The event continued with the moderation of Dr Suzan Sanlı Esin, Turkey Representative of AssiaX-G100 Design & Lifestyle Community after the opening speeches. In the meeting, the announcement of the international competition titled “Queen-Bee Project” in order to increase the awareness of the rapidly decreasing bee population around the world. It was stated that the competition was only open to 7-year experienced woman designers and to students. In the last part of the event, the young talents were asked about their career expectations regarding the future, being a woman in designing and their thoughts on “sustainability, durability and biologic diversity” which was the main theme of the event. After their answers, the event ended. |
