In cooperation with the General Directorate of Civil Society Relations of the Ministry of Interior and TUBİTAK, a call for ‘Civil Society Research’ was launched within the scope of the ‘3005-Innovative Solutions Research Projects Support Programme in Social Sciences and Humanities’. This particular call is supported by the Specialization Commission on Civil Society Organisations established within the scope of the Twelfth Development Plan, which will cover the years 2024-2028. Under this target, the main objective is to ensure that non-governmental organisations (NGOs) play an active role in the planning, making, monitoring and supervision of public policies. The main purpose of the call is to provide scientific inputs to public policy development processes and to improve academic knowledge in the field of civil society. In this way, it is aimed to support research that produces applicable, guiding and innovative solutions for civil society and public sectors. Research Topics and Targets Within the scope of the call for ‘Civil Society Research’, it is expected to conduct research on topics such as improving the institutional capacity of NGOs, civil society perception, providing active civil society participation in decision-making mechanisms, civil society and volunteering, philanthropy, communication and digitalisation in the field of civil society.
