An event titled "Civil Aviation in Türkiye" was held in Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall on Wednesday, October 18, in cooperation with Istanbul Kültür University (İKÜ) Vocational School Aviation Programs and the Aviation Club. The event to which Pegasus Chairperson Mehmet T. Nane attended as the speaker attracted great interest from the aviation industry and students. İKÜ Vocational School Aviation Programs received much acclaim at the event with its recently received "Civil Aviation Ground Training" certificates, accreditations, education-training practices and plans for the future of the sector. A plaque was presented by IKU Vocational School Director Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özer to Mr. Nane, one of the leading names the industry, who shared such valuable information with the participants. In the event moderated by Assist. Prof. H. Neyir Tekeli and Lecturer Evren Yılmaz, topics such as the current state of civil aviation in Türkiye, Pegasus Airlines' plans for the future, university-sector collaborations, the job requirements of the sector for the newly trained and competent young people in the civil aviation sector, internship and post-internship employment, and the importance of university-sector cooperation were discussed. Following the event, Pegasus Chairperson of the Board of Directors Mehmet T. Nane, was received by IKU Rector Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe in their office. At the meeting attended by IKU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Gülce Öğrüç Ildız and IKU Secretary General Ender Rıza Ekici, university-sector cooperation was emphasised. |
