A cooperation Protocol was signed between Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) and Artmap Informatics, Architecture, Cartography Industry. And Trade. Inc. The protocol ceremony signed at our Ataköy campus on Monday, October 17, was attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Hanife Öztürk Akkartal, our Geomatics Application and Research Center Coordinator Prof.  Dr.  Turgut Uzel, Technology Transfer Office Manager Assoc. Prof. Süleyman Hikmet Çağlar, Technology Transfer and University-Industry Collaboration Specialist Yasin Şahin and Artmap company officials.  With the protocol, the two establishments will develop projects in the field of cartography under the leadership of Geomatics Application and Research Center Coordinator Prof. Dr. Turgut Uzel.

The "Archive" exhibition, which examines the art life of Cihat Burak, one of the most extraordinary painters of Turkish art, in all its dimensions, was held on Wednesday, October 19 at 15.00 at the Istanbul Kültür University Art Gallery (IKUSAG). In the exhibition, in which the artist's productions in different disciplines and the breaking points of his art are examined, Architect, Painter and Story Writer Burak’s colorful world meets the audience with the artist's works, interviews and archive documents. The exhibition, curated by Res. Assist. Eda Dindar from the Department of Arts and Cultural Management and designed by Res. Assist. Sevim Karaalioğlu from the Department of Cartoon and Animation, will be open to visit at IKUSAG Exhibition Hall located in our Ataköy campus until December 7, 2022.

Organized in cooperation with Kültür Point and Kültür Istanbul, the second of the "After Dark" concert series was hosted in the backyard of Istanbul Kültür University Ataköy campus on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at 20.00. Nearly two thousand students attended the night where Can Ozan took the stage.

Assistant Secretary General Zuhal Çıtır, Department of Information Systems and Technologies System Administrator & Business Analyst Ezgi Aslan and Network and Communication Specialist Barış Dereli represented Istanbul Kültür University at the "Fifth e-BEYAS Symposium" held in Gölbaşı-Ankara on October 10-11 hosted by Ankara University. At the symposium, where the topics such as E-Document Management, E-Archives, NFT, Data Centers and Information Security were discussed on the main theme of “Metaverse and Information Management,” academicians and practitioners from different universities of Türkiye in the field of information and document management shared their experiences.

The promotion ceremony of the project called "E-Human" was held by the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Human Resources Office on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at 13.30 at Beştepe Millet Congress and Culture Center. Student Life, Career and Alumni Counseling Vice President Doğa Kurtyiğit, Career Specialist Ecem Uçar and our students Ezgi Topcu and Emin Kaan Güreşçi attended the ceremony on behalf of our university.

The ceremony was held with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. At the ceremony, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced information on Talent Gate, Distance Education Gate, Career Gate, Internship Mobilization programs, annual statistics and new decisions regarding these issues.

It was also announced at the ceremony that the national internship applications for 2023 were opened, the internship periods were extended to 3 months by mutual consent, and the wage paid for the summer internship would be increased to the minimum wage level in 2023.

It was also announced that in the "E-Human" project, all digital services and more will meet under one roof, every information will be protected thanks to the integrated blockchain technology, and an entire talent pool will be created here.

The Creative Industries Club, which was established as of the 2022-2023 Academic Year, held its first meeting on Tuesday, October 11 at the Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall.  The meeting held with the aim of gathering and acquainting the members together as well as informing them about the club, was attended by Our Board of Trustees Consultant Ender Rıza Ekici, Project Coordinator Meltem Zengin from Design Factory, Event Coordinator Bengisu Ankara and Common Area Manager Sena Vardar and members of the club's board of directors. The meeting, during which our students were informed about the Design Factory and Creative Industries Club, was concluded with the Design Factory tour.

Within the scope of the "2nd International Diyarbakir Short Film Festival", the Head of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema Assoc. Prof. Perihan Taş Öz had an interview with TRT Cinema Director Faruk Güven about the co-production platforms in the cinema sector in Türkiye and the films produced in this context.

The Industrial Engineering Club held an event titled “Department Presentations” on Friday, October 14 at 14.00 in Seminar Hall 2.  Bahadır Alpan, Planning Manager from Çelebi Ground Handling, and Esra Arslan, Deputy Quality and Safety Manager, partook in the event as speakers. Our guests, who talked with regards to their own experiences, about their educational lives, and career journeys at the event, also shared detailed information about the companies they work for. Our guests, who also explained how the particular departments they work under operate in the aviation sector and their job descriptions, answered the questions posed by our students.  The event was concluded with a few wise words from the guests concerning the previous subjects.

Proceedings of the conference "ARCHITECTURAL EPISODES 02: NEW DIALOGUES IN ARCHITECTURAL EDUCATION AND PRACTICE" held on 24-25 March 2022, hosted by Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture has been published electronically. The editors of the proceedings are our Dean of the Faculty of Architecture Prof. Dr. Neslihan Dostoğlu, one of the academicians of the Department of Architecture, Prof. Dr. Emel Birer, Assist. Prof. Esin Hasgül, Res. Assist. Merve Aksoy Oral, Res. Assist. Dilara Gür and Assist. Prof. Nur Kızılyaprak from Marmara University.

IKU Technology Transfer Office (IKU) Technology Transfer and University-Industry Collaboration Specialist Yasin Şahin participated in the "Self-Evaluation Workshop" organized within the scope of Spring-Load Platform supported by Istanbul Development Agency (ISTKA). In the workshop held in Istanbul Anatolian Side OIZ on Tuesday, October 18, ÜSİMP President Prof. Dr. A. Hamit Serbest, RTTP and Assoc. Dr. Serdal Temel gave information on how the "Innovation Scorecard" should be interpreted.

One of the academicians of Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Vocational School (MYO) Flight Operations Management Program, Lecturer Evren Yılmaz and Education Officer Merve Eyriçayır met with Keyvan Aviation Inc. Quality & SMS Director Meriç Cınbarcı and Corporate Communications Specialist Alev Coşkun. In the meeting held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, the focus was on the development of aviation, internship opportunities and cooperation.

An introductory meeting was held at Ataköy Saray Muhallebicisi on Wednesday, October 12, by the IKU Psychology Club in order to ensure the socialization of the members and to inform about the commission applications that will be accepted in the near future. A total of 45 people from the Psychology Club Executive Board and members attended the event. In the event, which started with the introduction of the members of the Board of Directors, the current and past activities of the club were mentioned. In addition to the planned activities, commissions and working areas to be established were also introduced.

IKUVENT Club, which continues its activities within the Department of Entrepreneurship, took part in the TedxReset event held on Saturday, October 15 with the theme of #AlanAc.

Lecturer Dr. Meri Taksi Deveciyan from the Department of International Trade and Finance of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences hosted Digital Artist Damla Nur Bilgin at the “Marketing Strategies” course. Bilgin gave a seminar to our students about art marketing.

Within the scope of the incorporation and entrepreneurship activities of the IKU Technology Transfer Office (TTO), the contract was signed for the establishment of Panda Minds Informatics Limited Company, of which the Vice Head of IKU Department of Information Systems and Technologies & Software Development and Innovation Manager Ahmet Gökhan Uluçay is a partner, on Monday, October 17, 2022.

A brand new resource offering multimedia content on fluid mechanics has been introduced by Cambridge University Press, which publishes the Journal of Fluid Mechanics, the world’s most well-known journal on the subject of fluid mechanics. In cooperation with IEEE IKU and IEEE Turkey Branch, "IEEE Marmara Regional Meeting" will be held in order to inform the participants about the structure and work of IEEE Turkey. The event, where the introductions will be made by the companies operating in different engineering fields, will be hosted by Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center on Saturday, October 22, between 8.30-19.00.

Irem Derici, one of the popular names of pop music, will perform for our alumni and students within the scope of the "Alumni Day & Back to Kültür" event to be organized by Istanbul Kültür University Alumni Association (IKUMED). In the event which will be held on Sunday, October 23, between 14.00-21.30, in the backyard of Ataköy Campus, special gifts will be presented to our students celebrating the 10th and 20th anniversary of their graduation.

The "You in Me Workshop" will be organized by the Student Life, Career and Alumni Counselling Unit (Kültür Point) to recognize chemical and behavioural addictions, prevent risky behaviours, improve self-confidence by enabling students to know themselves, and increase their empathy and saying “no” skills. The training, which will be provided by expert psychologist Aysu Çelenoğlu, will be held on Monday, October 24, between 13.00-16.00 in the 2nd floor multi-purpose hall.

Kültür Point will organize “Turkish Sign Language Education” in order to raise awareness about deaf and hearing-impaired people in the society and to contribute to the personal and professional development of our students. The training, which will be given by the trainer Eser Dalyan, will be held on 24-25 October 2022 between 15.00-18.00 in the 1st floor multi-purpose hall.

By introducing artificial intelligence and data science, IKU Deep Learning Club will organize an event titled "Introduction to Artificial Intelligence" in order to explain their goals, fields, progress, future and business areas to students. The event, in which Data Analyst Koray Kocabaş, Data Scientist Emre Yazıcı and Data Scientist Güldeniz Bektaş will be the speakers, will be held on Monday, October 24, between 15.00-18.00 at Erdal Inönü Seminar Hall.

The "JW Marriott Hotel Istanbul Marmara Sea Education & Career Interviews" event will be organized by the Tourism and Hotel Management Program to support students' career planning. The event, where trainings will be given to the students by the department managers, will be held on Monday, October 24, between 14.30-17.00 at JW Marriott Hotel Istanbul Marmara Sea.

The Leadership and Management Club will held a panel talk titled "LEADERMANAGER 2022", where people who have made a name for themselves in business will talk about their own experiences on leadership. The event, which will be attended by experts in their fields such as Murat Çolakoğlu, Dr.  Gökhan Songül, Lawyer Türkan Sarı, İbrahim Ethem Savran, İbrahim Mert Adak and Cem Kütük, will be held at the Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center between 09:00 and 20:00 on October 25-26.

IKU Faculty of Sciences and Letters continues to organize "Not for the Sake of Coffee Meeting" in order to share important research and analysis studies in the field of Basic Science and Social Sciences. The seminar titled "On the Relationship Between Mathematics and Music" in which one of the academicians of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Sciences Assist. Prof. Alper Ülker will be the speaker, will be held on Wednesday, October 26 between 15.00-17.00 at the Erdal İnönü Seminar Hall.

In cooperation with the Department of Psychology and the Psychology Club, "What's Waiting for You in the First Session?" will be held in order to inform the students about the first meeting in the field of clinical psychology seminar will be held. The event, in which Clinical Psychologist Pelin Ankay Kudu will be the speaker, will be held on Wednesday, October 26 between 16.00-18.00 at Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall.

Molecular Biology and Genetics Club will organize the "Epigenetics-Teatalk" event to inform students about the field of Epigenetics. The event, in which Prof. Dr. Eda Tahir Turanlı from Acıbadem University will be the speaker, will be held on Wednesday, October 26 between 17.00-18.30 at Seminar Hall 2 in Ataköy campus.

"C Programming 101" training will be held online by IEEE IKU Computer Society. The training, which will be given by Mahmut Özer GözüKırmızı, a student of the Department of Computer Engineering, will be held on Wednesday, October 26, between 19.00-20.30.

The Department of Architecture will organize an interactive event titled "On Urban Landscape with Deniz Aslan" in order to inform the students about urban landscaping. The event, in which DS Architecture Founder Assoc. Dr. Deniz Aslan will participate, will be held on Thursday, October 27, between 15.00-17.00, in the backyard of Ataköy campus.

Kültür Point will organize a training titled "Ask, Think, Ask Again, Form Your Own Idea" as part of the "Thought and Idea Workshop" in order to contribute to the personal development of the participants. The training, which will be given by Numan Aydınoğlu, will be held on Thursday, October 27, between 17.00-20.00 on the CATS platform.

The Awareness Club will organize an introductory event at the Kültür College Alumni Association Clubhouse on Thursday, 27 October between 19.00 and 21.00 in order to enable members to socialize with each other and to provide information about the events to be held.

Kültür Point which will organize the "Diction and Etiquette Training" in order to teach the rules of etiquette and courtesy that they can apply in all areas of life and by ensuring that the participants can speak Turkish properly. The training, which will be given by Özcan Tekdemir, will be held on Friday, October 28, between 15.00-18.00, at the Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall.

IKU PDR Club will organize an event at the Kültür College Alumni Club on Friday, October 28, between 18:00 and 23:00, in order to allow its members to meet and socialize.
