A cooperation protocol was signed between Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) and Bakırköy Social Security Provincial Directorate regarding the activities to be carried out within the scope of the Year of Retirees. The protocol was signed by our Rector Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe, Bakırköy Social Security Provincial Director Harun Sertbaş, Deputy Provincial Director Sinan Akpınar and Center Manager Hatice Çolak.

IKU OTONOM Team, which participated in the Robotaxi Full-Scale Autonomous Vehicle Competition held at the Bilişim Vadisi Campus in Gebze district of Kocaeli within the scope of TEKNOFEST Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, successfully completed the technical test phase. We wish success to the IKU OTONOM Team, which continues its activities within the Asimov Technology Club in the final stage.

Applications for the new term have started for the Design Factory, which Istanbul Kültür University launched three years ago. In this period, all second year and above students enrolled in the departments of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Programming, Cartoon and Animation, Communication Design, Radio Television and Cinema, Communication Arts and Digital Game Design can apply to the Design Factory's apprentice program.

Additionally, all students, without class or department restrictions, can apply for the entrepreneurship program with a business plan. Design Factory continues to offer students unique opportunities to realize and develop creative ideas.

Within the scope of the "Peer Mentoring" project carried out by Kültür Point, the students who will serve as volunteer mentors in the 2024-2025 Academic Year were given training by Kültür Point Unit Vice President Doğa Kurtyiğit. Details of the mentoring processes were explained in the training held via the Cats system on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 16:00. The training, attended by more than 120 volunteer peer mentors, ended after the questions were answered. 

The event titled "Scientific Achievements and Experiences: TÜBİTAK 1001 Meetings of Academicians" will be organized by IKU Technology Transfer Office. The event, in which Assoc. Prof. Derya Adıgüzel Özbek from our Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Assoc. Prof. Fatma Ulusal, Assist. Prof. Serhat Obuz from Tarsus University, and Prof. Dr. Sadık Yazar from Istanbul Medeniyet University will be speakers, will be held on Monday, August 26 at 13:00 via Microsoft Teams.

A workshop titled "Artificial Intelligence and Innovative Applications" will be held online by Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Technology Transfer Office (TTO) on Wednesday, August 28, between 10.30-12.00.
