Industry R&D Consultancy Service Agreement was signed between Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Technology Transfer Office (TTO) and NTT DATA Business Solutions Bilgi Sistemleri A.Ş. on Tuesday, February 22. Within the scope of the contract signed by our Assignee Rector Assist. Prof. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe, consultancy services to the company will be provided by our Department of Industrial Engineering Vice President Assist Prof. İlayda Ülkü.

With the decision of the Architectural Accreditation Board (MIAK-MAK) bearing the date 20.02.2023, Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Architecture Architecture (Turkish) Undergraduate Program was granted "Conditional 6-Year" and Architecture (English) Undergraduate Program "3-Year Accreditation".

Istanbul Kültür University Architecture Program, having been one of the two architecture departments that applied to the Architecture Accreditation Board (MIAK-MAK), first received a 3-year accreditation in 2010. Then, for the time period spanning the years 2014-2020, the “3. 6-Year Accreditation with Specialized Evaluation per Year” was granted with the decision of the board bearing the date 16.02.2018 thanks to the positive result of the specialized evaluation made on the 2017 Annual Report, granting “6-Year Accreditation”. Finally, with the decision of MİAK-MAK dated 20.02.2023, Architecture (Turkish) Undergraduate Program was granted "Conditional 6-Year Accreditation" and Architecture (English) Undergraduate Program "3-Year Accreditation". Accreditation is a quality assurance system that ensures that the quality of the training program is carried out in accordance with the accepted standards. With the IKU Architecture Department English Program being granted accreditation for the first time and the Turkish Program for the third time, that it one of the established and acclaimed educational institutions in the domain of Architecture was recognised and verified.

Assist. Prof. Mukaddes Turan Miral, from our Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Nursing, participated as a speaker in the training on “Birth Physiology, Pain Management and Evidence-Based Practices” organized by the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Health for nurses and midwives working in maternity schools. Assist. Prof. Mukaddes Turan Miral made a presentation titled “Pain Management in Childbirth and Evidence-Based Practices” at the training held on Monday, February 20, 2023, between 09.00-17.00.

The article titled “Sustainability In The Digital Entrepreneurship Ecosystem” written by Lecturer Dr. Meri Taksi Deveciyan from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of International Trade and Finance was published in the internationally indexed “Journal Of Awareness”.

Res. Assist. Umut Cem Oruçoğlu, from Faculty of Engineering Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, will be the guest of our corporate seminar series with his presentation titled "Natural Disaster Management." The event will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 15.00 at Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall.

Assist. Prof. Nida Ateş, from the Faculty of Science and Letters, the Department of Psychology, will take part in our corporate seminar series with their presentations titled "The Psychological Effects of the Earthquake and Regulation of Emotional Tension in the Disaster Period" and Assist. Prof. Hakan Ertufan’s "Adaptation to Life in Extraordinary Difficult Times". The event will be held at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center, which will be held under the main title of "Coping Methods in the Aftermath of the Earthquake", on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at 10:00.

Kültür Point will organize the "Diction and Etiquette Training" in order to teach the rules of etiquette and courtesy so that the participants may apply it to all areas of life and by making sure to learn to speak Turkish properly. The training, which will be given by Özcan Tekdemir, will be held on Friday, March 3, between 15.00-18.00, on CATS platform.
