The world is going through a difficult process. How did you go through the pandemic process? What has this process changed in your life? The pandemic process has many different effects on humans. You start to think more about both yourself and your loved ones. There was more of an inner orientation for me. I think it was a time when everyone was alone with themselves and realized many valuable things they had in their lives. I wouldn't want to stay away from both my colleagues and the students I love very much. Under any circumstances, it was our responsibility to support the development of students and to ensure that their teaching processes continue without interruption. I started to research technology and different systems by getting more curious. With the adoption of the distance working model of our institution, I felt more secure as an employee and continued my job. We started our synchronous lessons as of March 23, 2020 within the scope of YÖK's statement. I think we are one of the universities that quickly adapt to this process with our students and academic staff during the distance education process. We have been separated from our working environment and colleagues for a long time. What are your thoughts on the new normal in these days when our campuses are getting more active? Since human beings are social creatures, it was very difficult to stay separate from our friends and students. During the promotional period, we had the opportunity to meet with our prospective students and colleagues. Although it reminds us how much we miss this environment, the increasing number of cases in the same days revealed how much we should pay attention to the mask and distance rules. I believe that a team that can adapt to the distance working process so easily will also quickly adapt to the new normal. |
