Istanbul Kültür University "Aviation Summit" was held in Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, in cooperation with Vocational School Aviation Programs and Aviation Club. To the Aviation Summit, where the aviation industry and students showed great interest; HAVAŞ General Manager Mete Erna, CELEBI Ground Services West Regional Manager Aylin Çelik, LEBANON Airlines Turkey General Manager Nesrin Sander, Turkish Airlines Customer Experience Vice President Mustafa Mücahitoğlu, CELEBI Ground Services Human Resources Director Gökçen Dervişoğlu and Lufthansa Airlines Technical Manager Emre Akkanat attended as a speaker. The Civil Aviation Ground Training certificate competencies obtained by Istanbul Kültür University Vocational School Aviation Programs as a result of recent studies, their accreditations, education-training practices and their plans for the future of the sector were highly appreciated by the leading companies of the aviation industry. In the first session of the Aviation Summit, moderated by Assist Prof H Neyir Tekeli and Lecturer Evren Yılmaz; Within the scope of university-industry collaborations, the sectoral crisis experienced during the pandemic period and the measures taken in this period were evaluated, and the "2023 Perspective IATA Report" was emphasized. In addition, the sector's demands for the employment of newly trained and competent youth in the "Civil Aviation" sector were emphasized. In the second session of the summit, within the scope of "Applied Education Framework Regulation in Higher Education" for "Applied Vocational Education in Universities"; Vocational training in the workplace, internship and post-internship employment, the importance of university-industry cooperation, refresher trainings during working periods in the aviation sector and the sustainability of trainings were discussed. The Aviation Summit, where the basic inputs for the trainings that will provide our students with competence were evaluated, ended with the wishes of the university-aviation industry to continue mutual goodwill and cooperation. Istanbul Kültür University Vocational School Director Assist Prof Sinan Kesici presented a plaque to the representatives of the leading companies of the aviation industry participating in the summit, and the introductory and competency documents related to the Vocational School Aviation Programs were presented. |
