Our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Gülce Öğrüç Ildız's training project named "Advanced Material Characterization Training to be Used within the Scope of R&D Studies" was entitled to be supported by "TÜBİTAK 2237-A Scientific Education Activities Support".

Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Department of Architecture students showed great success in the "Murat Artu and Passion for Architecture Student Competition" held in memory of Master Architect Murat Artu. Our students received their award certificates at a ceremony held at the Ankara Turkish Association of Freelance Architects Center (Ankara Türk Serbest Mimarlar Derneği Merkezi) on September 20th, 2023. While 19 of the 203 groups participating in the competition were awarded, 4 of these awards were won by the students of Istanbul Kültür University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture. Along with the award ceremony, a colloquium and an exhibition were held.

"First Year" students studying at any higher education institution providing Basic Design Education participated in the competition, whose purpose was defined as giving motivation for first-year students to embrace and love the profession of architecture by rewarding their achievements with their creative, original thoughts and designs.

The projects of our students who received awards and made it to the final elimination were displayed in the exhibition held in Ankara SMD until September 29.

Our Head of Department of Arts and Culture Management, Assoc. Prof. Reyhan Uludağ Eraslan's work was exhibited in the "Synthesis Traces" exhibition, which was held at the Museum of the Battles of Gallipoli (Çanakkale) between 9-17 September 2023. The exhibition, organized by Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Faculty of Fine Arts, was held within the scope of the "Troy Culture Route Festival" supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

The short film "I Was Your Friend", directed by Research Assistant Buğra Mert Alkayalar from IKU Department of Radio, Television and Cinema was selected for the "Horror" category at the New York State International Film Festival held in the USA. The festival, which has been held in New York since 2016 and whose sponsors include Türkiye's official tourism guide GoTurkiye, was held on September 22-23 this year.

Our Head of Department of Arts and Culture Management Assoc. Dr. Reyhan Uludağ Eraslan's work was exhibited in the "BAĞ" group exhibition, which was presented to art lovers at Arthan Gallery in Karaköy on September 16th. In the exhibition, twelve artists working in different disciplines came together under the curatorship of Nuray Özler Yolcu.

Istanbul Kültür University (İKÜ) Vocational School (MYO) organized a seminar titled "Today's World's Approach to Traumas" on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, in which Assist. Prof. Ece Naz Ermiş, one of our academicians from the Department of Psychology participated as a speaker.

Our Head of Department of Arts and Culture Management, Assoc. Prof. Reyhan Uludağ Eraslan's works were exhibited at the "İpekyolu International Group Painting Exhibition", which was opened by Altınova Municipality on June 5, 2023. İlhan Aydan was the curator of the exhibition, which included 50 works of 32 artists from 6 countries.

Istanbul Kültür University (İKÜ) 2023-2024 Academic Year will start with a ceremony that will be held at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center on Wednesday, October 4, at 09.30. The opening speeches of the ceremony, which will begin with a standing in silence and the singing of the National Anthem, will be made by the Rector Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe and the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees Dr. Bahar Akıngüç Günver. The program will end with the speech of Poet & Writer Sunay Akın.

"Student Clubs Orientation Days" event will be organized by the Student Life, Career and Alumni Advisory Unit (Kültür Noktası) for the newly registered IKU students.  The event which will include an IKU orchestra concert, Rock'n Culture Club performance as well as dance performances, and booths will be set up to provide information, will be held at the backyard of IKU Ataköy campus on Wednesday, October 4 (15.00-18.00) and Thursday, October 5 (10.00-18.00).

Istanbul Kültür University 2023-2024 Academic Year General Orientation Program will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 13.00 at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center in Ataköy campus. The program, which will be held to inform our students about our university, which will be their new home throughout their higher education lives, and to answer their questions, will start with the opening speech of our Rector Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe.

The Career Club will hold a launch event on Wednesday, October 4, at 13.00, at the Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall in our Ataköy campus, to introduce the club to the newly registered students and to convey the processes and organizations during the year.

Within the scope of Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) 2023-2024 Academic Year General Orientation Program, "Department of Foreign Languages Orientation Programs" will be held on Friday, October 6. The program, which will be held under the titles " Department of Foreign Languages Orientation" and “Department of International Relations Orientation", will be hosted by Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center in Ataköy campus in two sessions between 14.00-16.00 and 16.00-17.00.

Within the scope of Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) 2023-2024 Academic Year General Orientation Program, the "Special Needs Student Orientation Program" will be held on Friday, October 6, between 14.00-15.30 in the Ataköy campus 3rd floor multi-purpose hall.
