We face a danger that threatens ourselves and all our loved ones, but we cannot see this danger that we may face at any moment; We have no idea when and where to come. How far it will spread; We cannot predict how many people it will affect, how long this effect will last, and what will happen to those affected. Even with the advanced technological and scientific possibilities of the twenty-first century we are in, a solution that has not been produced yet, is a brand new and deadly danger. This danger is COVID-19 disease caused by the new Coronavirus.

Students of İstanbul Kültür University Nursing Department prepared a video titled “Farkınızdayızyanınızdayız (We are aware of you We are at your side)for healthcare professionals.

The “emoty.AI” initiative, founded by Soner Abay, a graduate of Istanbul Kültür University, and Ozan Yurtsever, entered the top 6 among 100 projects in the evaluation made at Koç University Entrepreneurship Research Center (KWORKS). With this success, our graduates gained 1 year of closed office right.

emoty AI provides B2B and SaaS mood analysis solutions for media and user experience-based companies by combining the physiological data and image processing model from sensors on the smart wristband (emotyBand) and using next-generation deep learning techniques. Thanks to the desktop application (emotySync), it is aimed to synchronize the emotions of people in focus groups with a certain scene or second of the selected media input. Thus, it helps filmmakers or other media companies find out where their target groups might lose interest and which scenes should be cut from their content.

“From universities that are composed of neuroscience, wearable technology, artificial intelligence, marketing, law, and globally recognized universities such as UC Berkeley and UCLA; We have a global and multidisciplinary team with more than 30 employees from many countries such as America, Canada, Ukraine and India. We proceed completely as an R&D project without putting the academic side of the business into the background. Among us are PhD students, electronic engineers and METU graduate neuroscientists. We are working hard to carry out academic studies with our engineering team. An e-seminar titled “HR Talks 4: Changing Recruitment Processes & Candidate Psychology in the Period of COVID-19” was organized on Thursday, April 30, in cooperation with Istanbul Kültür University (İKÜ) Vocational School (Vocational School) and Human Resources Club (HRC). Speaking about the rapid transition of YÖK and MONE to distance education with approximately 25 million students, Lecturer Hakan Türkkuşu stated that universities will prefer distance education after this process. Melis Seray Özden Yıldırım, one of the academicians of the Psychology Department, was the first guest of the “Internet Webinar Series with Good and Bad” organized by İKÜ Kültür Point. At the event held on April 30, 2020, at 13:30 on the Adobe Connect Virtual Classroom Application; What is the subject of "Cyber Addiction" that emerged with the intensive use of the internet and how it can be prevented was given to our students in detail.

Istanbul Kültür University Vocational School organized an e-seminar titled “Post-Corona Career Planning for New Generation Tourism Students” at 14:00 on Tuesday, April 28. Mustafa Yılmaz, one of the first grade students of the Entrepreneurship Department, came in third in the competition titled “Imagine, Let’s Realize” organized by the Credit Registration Bureau (KKB). In the idea and project-based entrepreneurship competition in which more than 3 thousand applications are made in different categories each year; First prize was 30 thousand TL, second prize was 20 thousand TL and third place was awarded 15 thousand TL. Many awards were distributed in different fields in the competition. As a result of the evaluations made by the jury, our student who entered the top 100 first and then the top 10 and went to the finals got the third highest score together with their teammates and received the award of 15 thousand TL.
