Istanbul Kültür University Penal Law Application and Research Center (CEHAMER) organised the ‘International Academy of Human Rights 23rd Summer Workshop’ between October 7-12, 2024, at Kuşadası Richmond Ephesus Hotel.

The event was chaired by Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Bahri Öztürk, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Director of CEHAMER, and Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Helmut Goerlich, and honoured with the attendance of Mr. Ralf Schröer, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Izmir, and Mr. Niyazi Acar, Deputy Minister of Justice.

The event was held with the participation of numerous experts in their fields, including Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Gerhard Dannecker, Prof. Dr. Durmuş Tezcan, Prof. DDDr. DDr. h.c. Dieter G. Kindel, Prof. Dr. Prof. h.c. Arndt Sinn, Prof. Dr. Ákos Farkas, Prof. Dr. Judit Jacsó, Prof. Dr. Stephanie Schiedermair, Prof. Dr. iur. Dipl. Psych. Stefanie Kemme, Prof. Dr. Judit Barta, and Prof. Dr. Ali Rıza Töngür.

The academic organisation of the event, which brought together academics, practitioners, and students, was carried out by our Faculty of Law faculty members and CEHAMER members, Assist. Prof. Efser Erden Tütüncü, Assist. Prof. Muharrem Tütüncü, Lecturer Dr. Nilüfer Köker, LL.M and Dr. Akif Hilal Öztürk. The administrative processes of the organisation were followed by our Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law, Assist. Prof. Tuğçe Karaçoban Güneş, and Faculty Secretaries Fadime Ayşegül Akşehirlioğlu and Aleyna Çalışkan.
