The 98th anniversary of the proclamation of the republic, which placed ‘’Sovereignty rests unconditionally with the nation’’ rule in the state administration and crowned democracy in Turkey, was celebrated with events held at Istanbul Kültür University.

The program started with the singing of the National Anthem and the laying of a wreath at the Atatürk Monument on Thursday, October 28 at 10:00, taking into account the social distance rules due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

With the participation of our Chairperson of the Board of Trustees Dr. Bahar Akıngüç Günver, our Rector, our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Sinan Alçın, our deans, academic-administrative staff and students, as part of the ongoing program at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center, a conference titled "Atatürk Difference" was held with Educator & Author Assist. Prof. Ali Suat Ürgüplü as a speaker.

The program ended with the performance of Orchestra İKÜ.
