Prof. Dr. Gülçe Öğruç Ildız (born in 1977 in Istanbul) after graduating from Kültür College, received her undergraduate degree from Istanbul Technical University in Physics Engineering (2001), and her master's degree from Istanbul Technical University Nuclear Energy Engineering (2004) and Istanbul Kültür University Business Administration (MBA) (2003) departments. She started her duty as a Research Assistant at Istanbul Kültür University (2003) Vocational School, Department of Electrical - Electronics Engineering (2003) and continued in the Department of Physics at the same university. After receiving her doctorate degrees from Istanbul University Department of Atomic and Molecular Physics (2008) and Istanbul Kültür University Department of Civil Engineering Project Management Program (2009), she was appointed as an Assistant Professor (2010) to Istanbul Kültür University Department of Physics. In 2012 and 2016, she conducted scientific studies as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Molecular Cryospectroscopy and Biospectroscopy Laboratory at the University of Coimbra. She was appointed as a professor in 2020 to the Department of Physics at Istanbul Kültür University, where she received the title of Associate Professor (2015). Between the years 2015 - 2022, she was the Executive Secretary of Istanbul Kültür University, Technology and Project Support Unit (TPDB), Scientific Research Projects (BAP) Coordinator, Faculty Administrative Board and Faculty Board Member at IKU Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Education and Faculty of Arts and Sciences. She has published many SCI-indexed articles and chapters in the international arena, as well as a significant number of National and International supported scientific projects in which she worked as an executive and researcher. She currently teaches undergraduate and graduate courses at Istanbul Kültür University. She is the editor of several International SSI indexed journals in the field of spectroscopy such as Molecules, Spectrochimica Acta A and Journal of Molecular Structure. She started to work as the Vice Rector of Istanbul Kültür University in August 2022.
