On 27 April 2009, the Global Political Trends Center (GPoT) organized a roundtable meeting entitled “Turkey-EU Relations: Recent Developments and New Prospects” at Istanbul Kültür University with the participation of a group of the most prominent opinion leaders and diplomats of Turkey.
GPoT Center in collaboration with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNS) in Turkey organized a roundtable meeting in Brussels on the current developments in EU-Turkey relations.
GPoT organized a roundtable meeting entitled “Turkey – Armenia Dialogue: New Prospects” at Istanbul Kültür University with the participation of a group of Turkish journalists, academicians and civil society representatives.
The roundtable meeting, which took place with the participation of Yerevan Press Club President Boris Navasardyan, was intended to cover a discussion on the current situation of Turkey – Armenia dialogue and the prospects as regards to the opening of borders and the reactions from Turkish and Armenian side, as well as from international community.
The conference was an opportunity to discuss the democratization process in the BMENA region and express different views about the three main themes; political parties, constitutional reform and elections.
The conference included representatives from BMENA countries, Turkey and Italy.

Uluslararası Konferans: GODKA Bölgesinde Demokratikleşme Süreci
In collaboration with the British Embassy in Ankara, Global Political Trends Center (GPoT) organized a roundtable meeting on the global economic crisis and the G20 London Summit that was held in April 2009.
The first round of the meetings related to the legal aspects of the Armenian "genocide" claims was organized by GPoT center on 31st January in Istanbul.
GPoT Center organized the third round of the second track diplomacy meetings between the Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot sides, entitled as "On the Renewed Talks to Resolve the Cyprus Problem".
The meeting was held on December 15, 2008 in Nicosia with the participation of politicians, academics and civil society representatives from both sides in Cyprus.
Global Political Trends Center organized a one day conference in partnership with the Contemporary Turkish Studies within the London School of Economics in London.
The meeting was attended by academicians and journalists from Turkey and UK. The issues discussed during the meeting included the transformation of state and society and the democratization process in Turkey between 1980 and the present.

GPoT Center organized the second round of second track diplomacy meetings on the negotiation process in Cyprus between October 31st and November 2nd in Heybeliada.
On August 27, 2008 GPoT Center organized a roundtable discussion on the recent developments in Cyprus.
