The award ceremony of the Student Competition for the Public Open Spaces Idea Project at MODOKO, held among the students of the Faculty of Architecture, was held on Friday, January 14, 2022 at MODOKO.

Within the framework of the protocol between the Rectorate of Istanbul Kültür University and MODOKO Management, within the scope of University-Industry cooperation, by supporting the qualified workforce in our country, in order to support the students to carry out applied work and to grow in a qualified way before starting their professional life, undergraduate students of Istanbul Kültür University Department of Architecture and Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design between September 2021, the Public Open Spaces Idea Project Student Competition was started at MODOKO. The awards of the competition were determined in December 2021. 

Faculty of Architecture Dean Neslihan Dostoğlu, Head of Architecture Department V. Prof. Dr. Esin Kasapoğlu, Head of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department Prof. Dr. Gülay Usta attended the award ceremony held at MODOKO on Friday, January 14, 2022. A faculty member and two research assistants from the jury and the majority of the award-winning students attended. In addition, the projects of our students were exhibited in the MODOKO administration building.

The ceremony started with the speeches of İrfan Çimen from MODOKO Management and V. Prof. Dr.  Neslihan Dostoğlu, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture. After the award-winning groups presented their projects and answered the questions of the participants, the awards were presented.

The competition process will continue with a workshop to be held at our University on February 7-9, 2022 with the participation of our students and lecturers. The workshop will also be attended by MODOKO Board of Directors. The layouts produced in the workshop will be exhibited at MODOKO's General Assembly to be held on February 10, 2022.
