IKU Rector Prof. Dr. Erhan Güzel, who pointed out that university candidates have gained a very important crisis experience during the pandemic period, said that young people should allocate time to university research along with digitalization. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Güzel, who advised the candidates to contact universities about the department, program and opportunities they want to study, gave the following messages especially for the students who want to study with scholarship: “There are many types of scholarships that can be obtained according to different criteria such as success scholarship, foreign language preparation, sports, master’s degree. Here, it is important for families and students to interpret the concept of scholarship correctly. Scholarship is generally considered as an economic opportunity only. However, in addition to the financial opportunities it provides, the scholarship is also a guarantee of the future success of the student. Scholarship students also play an active role in project development, innovative thinking, academic and scientific initiatives during their education.

Prof. Dr. Erhan Güzel continued his advice regarding the candidates who want to study with a scholarship as follows: “You are preparing for an important exam in a crisis period. However, you can come out of this crisis by getting stronger with the right future strategy. First, be a researcher for your own life. To study at your ideal department, research the university's general and specific scholarship programs. Scholarship research is the first rehearsal of professional life for a student.

According to Prof. Dr. Erhan Güzel, who stated that they support equal opportunity in education, scholarship opportunities are always open for young people with entrepreneurial, innovative ideas. Our Rector also gave the following messages about the universities' scholarship programs based on individual competence and professional tendencies: “Each foundation university has scholarships designed according to the interests and needs of the students. First choice discount, exam success, GPA, success in sports… These scholarships are usually available during the preference period or after the student starts university. However, there are also alternative opportunities for scholarship. Students should definitely research the scholarship models, durations and approaches of universities. For example, as Istanbul Kültür University, we have created a system called We Accept where candidates can express themselves and their projects before their preferences or even YKS. We received over 50 thousand applications in 2 years. Thousands of our students are currently studying at various rates with scholarships. 7 years uninterrupted. Applications are made digitally. Candidates are invited for an interview by the academic staff of the department they target after completing their forms. Our applications for 2021 candidates have also started. We will have 3 application periods until May. "
