IKU Young Office organized "Financial Literacy Training" on Wednesday, January 3 at 14.00 at Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall in Bakırköy campus Ataköy building. Participating in the event as a speaker, Assist. Prof. İbrahim Ethem Tarhan, one of our academicians from the Department of Industrial Engineering, informed our students about key financial concepts such as budgeting, saving, borrowing and investing. Students who participated in the training were given a certificate of participation approved by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The 8th issue (WINTER 2023) of the "KÜLTÜRK" Journal of Turkish Language and Literature Studies, which was published within the Department of Turkish Language and Literature of the Faculty of Science and Letters of Istanbul Kültür University (IKU), was published on December 22, 2023.

In the statement made in the last week of 2023, according to the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Law No. 6331, the penalty rate to be applied to the employer who does not fulfill the notification obligation increased to 15 thousand 529 TL with an increase in the revaluation rate (122.9 percent) in 2023. Akıngüç Awards that has been organized by our university since 2018 was opened this year for applications for scientific research carried out with the theme of "Environment and Human" in the branches of medicine, biology, medical biology, molecular biology, chemistry and biochemistry .

The play titled "A Murder in Rome", which deals with society's perspective on marriage from a entertaining perspective, was staged for theater lovers at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center in our Bakırköy campus Ataköy building on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 19.00.

The winners of the international TraMod AWARDS 2023 competition, which focuses on the interactions between tradition and modernity in architecture and design and includes world-renowned architects among the jury members, were awarded. The competition organized in the professional and student categories consisted of architecture, interior architecture, product, and fashion design.

"Images of the Century: Republic and Painting-Sculpture Exhibition", consisting of a special selection from Istanbul Kültür University Akıngüç Art Collection, opened at IKUSAG on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. The opening speeches of the exhibition were made by our Rector Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe and our Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design Prof. Dr. Mehmet Üstünipek.

In this exhibition, which is a look back on the centenary of the Republic, a cross-section of the changes experienced with the Republic's principle of bringing art to all segments of society is presented.

Puma mobile, which is stored in the İKÜ Design Factory under the project management of Istanbul Kültür University (İKÜ) Department of Information Systems and Technologies, was launched. The launch which took place on Friday, December 15, at the Bakırköy campus Ataköy building was attended by Our Chairperson of the Board of Trustees Dr. Bahar Akıngüç Günver, our Rector Prof. Dr.

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe was awarded the "Alumni Award for Inspiring the Future" by Koç University, from which she graduated. The ceremony was held on Thursday, November 30 at 19.00 at the Sevgi Gönül Auditorium located on the Koç University Rumelifeneri campus.

The IKU Rector Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe, paid a visit to the Rector of Istanbul Technical University Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu in his office. The IKU Rector also paid visits to ITU Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Lütfiye Durak Ata and Prof. Dr. Ali Deniz on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.
