GPoT Center organised the 19th round of the Heybeliada Talks: Series of Second Track Diplomacy Meetings on Cyprus, on 21 November 2015 in Nicosia’s Buffer Zone, Cyprus.
The event took place with the participation of approximately 25 civil society activists, opinion makers, academics, journalists, and experts from Turkey, Greece, and both sides of Cyprus.
"If the opportunity to solve the Cyprus problem doesn’t become a missed one again, plenty of opportunities for peaceful cooperation would emerge in the region. Especially Greece and Turkey can benefit from extending support, entailing fully-fledged cooperation to bring stability and security in the eastern Mediterranean".

The sixth annual conference for diplomatic dialogue between Israel and Turkey, held by the Global Political Trends Center (GPoT Center) and the Israeli Institute for Regional Policies (MITVIM), took place last week in Israel. As part of conference schedule, we conducted meetings with representatives from the Foreign Ministry and Knesset while discussing current issues with both Israeli and Palestinian opinion leaders.

The term “all-inclusive” was popularized by Club Med a generation ago to describe an innovative approach to vacation packaging. For a single fee, guests could enjoy all of the benefits that the facility had to offer. Since then, it has become a generic term, commonly used by Israelis to describe a vacation in one of the many hotels built along the country’s Mediterranean coast.
“Her şey dâhil” kavramı yıllar önce Club Med tarafından yenilikçi bir tatil konsepti olarak yaygınlaştırıldı. Tatilciler tek bir ücret ödeyerek tesisin tüm hizmetlerinden yararlanabiliyordu. Zamanla “her şey dâhil” genel bir anlam kazandı ve İsrailliler tarafından ülkenin Akdeniz kıyısında herhangi bir otelde yapılan tatiller için kullanılır oldu. Günümüz İbranicesinde ise “her şey dâhil” daha ziyade açık büfesinden gündüz gece sınırsız yemek yenebilen, barında bedava içki içilebilen, fazla pahalı olamayan ama keyifli bir Türk otelinde tatil anlamına geliyor.
"Temelde, Rusya’nın hava gücü, İran’ın ise karadan destek sağladığı savaşta, Rusya’nın İran ile birlikte hareket ediyor olması aslında İsrail’in beklentileriyle çelişiyor. Ancak Rusya-İran arasında Esad’ın geleceği üzerinden yaşanacak siyasi alan bölüşümünün seyri üzerine tahmin yürütmek için de henüz erken. Toplantıda herkesin hemfikir olduğu bir nokta varsa o da, Rusya’nın kolay kolay Suriye’yi terk etmeyeceği; dolayısıyla, siyasi hesapları da bu yeni gerçekliğe uygun olarak yapmak gerektiğiydi."
