GPoT Center’s Muhammed Ammash participated in a conference at the Ruhr University Bochum, Germany, entitled “A Player and not Just a Player? the Work of German Political Foundations abroad”.
The conference’s special focus was on Israel and the Palestinian territories. Participants discussed the role German political foundations play in the international arena, their impact on German foreign policy, and how they influence the development of bilateral relations.
GPoT Center’s Prof. Mensur Akgün, Dr. Sylvia Tiryaki, and Muhammed Ammash, participated in the networking workshop held in Athens. The workshop is part of the project entitled ”Migration Network in Europe and Turkey”.
”Migration Network in Europe and Turkey” is supported under the Civil Society Dialogue Programme. The Programme aims to bring together civil society organisations from Turkey and the EU around common topics, to exchange knowledge and experience, and to build a sustained conversation among them.
Global Political Trends (GPoT) Center Director Mensur Akgün and Deputy Director Sylvia Tiryaki attended the EuroMeSCo 2016 Conference in Brussels as participants and supervisors of the project entitled Future of Syria.
The Conference brought together over 100 experts, researchers, and policy-makers. The main think tank network of politics and security of the Euro-Mediterranean area, coordinated by the IEMed, focused its annual conference on the security challenges in the Mediterranean region ahead of the release of the EU Global Strategy.
