The Deputy Director of GPoT Center, Dr. Sylvia Tiryaki, together with the Director of GPoT Center, Dr. Mensur Akgün, participated in an international conference organized by IPSA (International Political Science Association) and ECPR (European Consortium for Political Research).
A panel and a press conference was organized by TESEV on February 2nd, 2011.
At the conference, the report entitled "The Perceptions of Turkey in the Middle East" was presented. The report was written by the Director of GPoT Center Dr. Mensur Akgün together with Sabiha Senyücek Gündoğar, Jonathan Levack and Gökçe Perçinoğlu and can be dowloaded here.
EuroMeSCo is a network of thirty-nine member-countries of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership (EMP), i.e. the EU's comprehensive policy for its relations with the Southern Mediterranean region.
The network's activities are policy and security-oriented research and debates.
GPoT Center is proud to be part of one of EuroMeSCo's new governing bodies, i.e. the Steering Committee, together with the following institutions:
GPoT Center participated in the Turkey and Armenia Non-Governmental Organizations (TANGO) Network Project’s website launch and contact making meeting organized by the Corporate Social Responsibility Association of Turkey (CSR Turkey) and the Armenian Marketing Association (AMA) in Kadir Has University on the 20th of January 2011.
The series of second-track diplomacy meetings providing the Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots with a special opportunity to discuss issues related to the Cyprus question in parallel with the official negotiations between the two Cypriot leaders was organized by GPoT Center for the ninth time between January 22nd and 23rd, 2011.
