  • Euro-Mediterranean Forum for Young Researchers

    The first Euro-Mediterranean Forum for Young Researchers was organized by GPoT Center, in collaboration with the Chios Institute for Mediterranean Affairs (CIMA), the Hellenic Centre for European Studies (EKEM), and the Center for International and European Studies (CIES) of the Kadir Has University, between April 13th and 15th, 2011, in Istanbul.

    GPoT Center organized a round table meeting today on “The recent developments in the Middle East, North Africa and the role of Turkey”.

  • Visit of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs

    GPoT Center hosted a nine-person delegation from the Chicago Council on Global Affairs on April 5th, 2011 at Istanbul Kültür University.

    Drs. Mensur Akgün and Sylvia Tiryaki, along with GPoT staff members, briefed the delegation on the Center's activities and Turkish politics and foreign policy during a private lunch and discussion. Members of the delegation presented Drs. Tiryaki and Akgün with coffee table books on the city of Chicago and the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy.

  • 20-Years of Visegrad Four Cooperation: Implications for EU Enlargemen

    A round-table meeting commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Visegrad Group (also known as "Visegrad Four" or "V4"), i.e. Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, was organized by GPoT Center in collaboration with the Consul Generals of the V4 countries in Istanbul under the chairmanship of the Consul General of Slovakia on March 28th, 2011.
