Four Turkish students traveled to Armenia from December 5th to the 7th, 2011 to participate in numerous screenings of their short documentary films, which they shot in Armenia earlier this year.
GPoT Center, in cooperation with the European Movement Denmark, organized a conference entitled “EU-Turkey Relations and the Denmark Presidency” on December 6th, 2011 in Copenhagen with the participation of Turkey's Minister of European Affairs and Chief Negotiator, Egemen Bağış.
Susae Elanchenny attended the "Partnership Program between Turks and Armenians" conference, organized by Columbia University's Program on Peace-building and Rights and the International Center for Human Development, from December 5th to 6th, 2011 in Yerevan.
The conference allowed the Turkish and Armenian partners of the USAID-funded "Support to Armenia-Turkey Rapprochement (SATR)" program to evaluate the previous year of the project and discuss the scope of activities for the coming year.
Narod Maraşlıyan from GPoT Center attended the "Building the Future of Cyprus: Multi-Stakeholder Strategic Planning Forum", organized by the Institute for Eurodemocracy, CES & PATRIR-IPDTC between the 2nd and 3rd of December, 2011.
Participants from different sectors and agencies took part in the event, in which they conducted a joint exploration of key dimensions, dynamics, issues and opportunities on the Cyprus Conflict. The event took place at the Cyprus Community Media Centre (CCMC) in the buffer zone.
GPoT’s Deputy Director, Dr. Sylvia Tiryaki, wrote an article for Turkish Review’s October-December 2011 edition with the title: “Turkey’s broken path to EU membership.”
